At long last, an Italian cooking class, held by an authentic Italian chef, structured to meet the requirements and tastes of international clients! The course is made up of six lessons, all hands on, held entirely in English where participants will finally have the opportunity to learn from a professional chef and discover lots of recipes in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
If you have been in Italy for a while and have not yet mastered how to prepare traditional dishes or you are in love with Italian cuisine and want to master its preparation, well this course is for you!
Andrea Palmieri, head chef and owner of the Bucavino Restaurant in Rome, has had many years of experience working in the United States as consultant chef in various restaurants and as personal chef and teacher for private events.
Andrea is also a well known face on Italian TV. He has contributed to programmes such as “Chef in campo” – Chef in Play (Sport Italia), “Camper” (Rai 1), “Ricette all’italiana” – Italian recipies (Rete 4), “Uno Mattina” – The Morning Show (Rai 1), “Linea Blu” – the Blue Line (Rai 1).
“Cooking is Easy!” is a truly complete course: the chef will teach you the secrets of Italian cuisine. He will introduce you to the raw materials and explain preparation techniques and cooking styles step-by-step.
At the end of each lesson, you will be able to taste what you have prepared accompanied by a glass of excellent wine.

This course will:
- Provide you with the basic knowledge to prepare a lunch or dinner for family and friends.
- Let you discover many new recipes and put them into practice.
- Equip you with the correct techniques for the preparation of raw materials, understand how best to bring out the flavours of the dishes prepared and how to reduce waste.


The topics of the lessons cover the preparation of many different recipes alongside an expert chef who will accompany you through the whole course.

The 6 lessons will be divided up to cover the following recipes:

Lesson 1
Starters
Deep fried vegetables
Single portion aubergine parmigana
Battered salted cod (baccalà) and lime mayonnaise
Rice balls with melted mozzarella – Supplì al telefono

Lesson 2
First courses with freshly made pasta
Fettuccine all’amatriciana (guanciale - pigs jowl - and tomato)
Lasagne with bolognese sauce
Lemon scented ricotta and saffron ravioli

Lesson 3
First courses with dry pasta
Rigatoni alla carbonara (with guanciale and egg)
Paccheri in a white ragù sauce with a citrus twist
Large spaghetti with orange scented melted tomato and pecorino cheese
Spaghetti with garlic, oil and chili peppers

Lesson 4
Main courses - meat
Meatballs in cacciatora sauce
Stuffed pocket of veal
Fillet steak in green peppercorn sauce
Meat rolls in a tomato sauce

Lesson 5
Fish dishes
Octopus salad
Spaghetti alle vongole (with clams)
Gilthead bream in crust of potatoes
Deep-fried calamari (squid)

Lesson 6
Desserts
Tiramisu with homemade savoiardi biscuits
Ricotta and sour cherry tart
Zuppa inglese (an Italian version of trifle)


Upon completion of the course, an attendance certificate will be presented by the A Tavola con lo Chef School.
